On Oct. 31, Southwire’s Kentucky Plant hosted a 50th Anniversary Celebration to commemorate the facility’s continued success.

The plant in Hawesville, Ky., is a key contributor to Southwire and specializes in the creation of aluminum rod. The plant is among the largest in the world for rod capacity under one roof.

The Kentucky Plant supplies rod to both Southwire facilities and original equipment manufacturers and is currently undergoing an expansion, which will house cable mill equipment to significantly increase the number of pounds of conductor produced each month.

Southwire is very proud of its Kentucky Plant and all the individuals who have made its 50 years of success possible. We look forward to many more years to come.
