For the second year in a row, Southwire’s president and CEO, Rich Stinson, has been named as one of Georgia Trend’s 100 Most Influential Georgians.

According to Georgia Trend, the 2024 list includes CEOs, educators, doctors, politicians, and heads of nonprofits and economic development organizations, among others, who have inspired efforts to meet and exceed challenges in virtually every corner of the Peach State. These honorees are chosen because, “their work ethic and professionalism are extraordinary, and the impact of their work touches the lives of many Georgians.”

“It is truly an honor to be recognized for consecutive years alongside so many influential leaders. I am incredibly proud to represent Southwire and the impact our more than 70-year history has had within the state of Georgia and beyond,” said Stinson. “I say all the time that it is an exciting time to be in the electrical industry and an even more exciting time to be at Southwire. Likewise, it is an exciting time to be doing business in Georgia. We remain committed to investment within the state as we pursue growth, advancements and opportunities within our industry and as we seek to remain an employer of choice for generations to come.”

The 2024 honorees were chosen by the Georgia Trend staff, who spend a great deal of time discussing those who represents the best qualities of authority, capability, integrity and influence the state has to offer. Included in this selection were Georgian of the Year, Ed Bastian from Delta Air Lines, and fellow Most Influential Georgian honorees, Loy Howard from Tanner Health System, Kimberly S. Greene from Georgia Power, Ted Decker of The Home Depot, Chris Womack of Southern Company, Ángel Cabrera of Georgia Tech and more. For a full list of honorees, click here

The 100 Most Influential Georgians were recognized at a honorary luncheon on Friday, January 26 at the Georgia Aquarium.
