How would you like to win a Southwire tools and equipment prize pack valued at over $30,000? At October’s National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) tradeshow, many contractors stood in long lines in order to enter our tools sweepstakes and be among the first people to demo products from Southwire’s new tools and equipment product line.

As a way to introduce contractors to Southwire’s new line of tools and equipment, Southwire launched the $30,000 tools sweepstakes. Each day during the show, Southwire would announce a daily prize winner. The daily winner would receive $2,000 worth of tools and equipment. On the last day of the show, Southwire announced the overall grand prize winner, who was to receive over $30,000 worth of Southwire Tools and contractor equipment.  As you can imagine, these contractors were very excited.

The daily winners were as follows:

• Jeff Cardwell, Huston Electric (Indiana)
• Ryan Cannon, NJATC Student, JE Richards (Maryland)
• Kevin Hollinger, Fuellgraf Electric Company (Pennsylvania)

While the daily prize winners were receiving their prizes on the East coast, the $30,000 tools package grand prize winner, Ben Kutch of Gifford Electric, was eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Southwire tools and contractor equipment trailer in Las Vegas, Nevada. “This is really an incredible day today- one of the most exciting days of my life” said Ben Kutch. “The whole experience, from the time that I got to go back to Washington D.C for the NECA conference and be around the Southwire display was incredible; Tools, wire, the demonstrations that they had available…[Southwire] is stepping out front of everybody right now”.
