Inclusive Workforce

An inclusive workforce focus builds on organizational capability and accelerates growth across the enterprise.

By focusing on Inclusion, Southwire creates an environment where individuals from all backgrounds feel empowered, included and comfortable expressing their thoughts and perspectives. We foster an inclusive environment that recognizes the value and talent of different perspectives and life experiences, regardless of gender, ethnicity, tenure, challenge or disability status, veteran status, generation, sexual orientation, gender identity, or other protected characteristic.

Creating a ONE Southwire Standard for Nursing Moms

It’s more than just a room — it’s a signal that new mothers are welcomed, valued and understood. People who breastfeed typically need to pump two to four times per day. That need doesn’t go away when a nursing mother is at work. That’s why it’s essential to provide new moms transitioning back to the workplace with dedicated lactation rooms that are comfortable, sanitary and safe.

In partnership with Nessel, Southwire has modernized facilities across the organization with dedicated nursing room spaces to ensure women have an equitable, clean and private space of their own. This multi-year project ensures working mothers have the spaces they need to bring their full selves to work, regardless of location.

Emphasizing Inclusive Policies and Benefits:

Our policies and benefits reflect Southwire’s values. In 2023, we expanded our inclusive benefit offerings and established new policies to reflect that.
